Animal Care Internship

Duties

Children's Zoo Interns assist with the daily care of the animal collection including the care of the enclosures, diet preparation, handling and animal training and animal enrichment. Interns also assist with informal education experiences throughout the Children's Zoo and create a project to complete over the course of their internship. View the complete job description.

Requirements

This opportunity is available to college freshmen through seniors as well as recent college graduates majoring in animal science, biology, zoology, environmental education or a related field. A grade point average of 2.5 or higher, interest in working with animals, and basic biological knowledge are required.
