Learn about conservation in a hands-on way. Become an intern at the Philadelphia Zoo! The Philadelphia Zoo's conservation and science department offers unpaid internships that range from project work to general office support. Since the internship program plays a key role in the overall success of the conservation program, the Zoo asks the following of its interns:
- commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per work week (Monday-Friday) for a minimum of three months
- a working knowledge of computers
- the ability to work independently as well as with others
Interns may be able to earn academic credit for their efforts.
