The Philadelphia Zoo announces the debut of two American alligators in an outdoor exhibit that was just fitted out to house them. The two alligators, Cherokee and Seminole, have been at the Zoo for 7 years, delighting students and sharing conservation messages throughout the Delaware Valley region in our education programs, before moving to their new quarters . Stop by the Zoo in the next few weeks to see the alligators before they move inside for the winter. Philadelphia Zoo reptile keeper Steve Binnig serves on the leadership team of the Crocodilian Taxon Advisory Group, which examines the conservation needs of crocodilian species.
