Join us as we “Strike” out rhino extinction!  Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, rhino games, and a special appearance of Zoo on Wheels while saving an endangered species. 

Each year, over 40 AAZK (American Association of Zoological Keepers) chapters throughout the United States participate in Bowling for Rhinos, raising over $2 million nationally since 1990.  The Philadelphia Zoo zookeepers have done their part, raising over $100,000.  One hundred percent of the proceeds directly benefit three rhino conservation projects in Africa and Asia. While there were once over 100 species of rhinos worldwide, today there are only five, all of which are endangered. 

This family bowl-a-thon gets underway at 3 p.m.  Bowlers may register individually or form a team of six.  The registration fee is $25 per person, which includes shoe rental, bowling for 2 hours, and games.

Bowlers are encouraged to collect sponsor money to support the rhino reserves and rhino conservation projects.  A Grand-Prize will be awarded to the individual raising the most money.  Pledge forms are available for you or your bowling team.  All fulfilled pledges are tax deductible.
